To unlock the shift lever, the officer has to depress the hidden foot actuator. The system is equipped with a buzzer that will sound when the shift lever can be moved. The system also has an "on-off" switch on the control box. This has been provided so the system can be shut off and the vehicle can be returned to its normal state.
